Dransfields and Reflex Gaming Limited joined forces at the recent EAG and ICE trade shows with their unique show stand – a purpose-built pub!
Named ‘The Dransfields Arms’, the pretend pub made quite a splash when it debuted at this year’s EAG Expo held at ExCeL London.
The stand marked the first trade show appearance for Reflex Gaming since it was acquired by Dransfields, leading supplier of gaming machines, quiz machines, lottery machines and more, in summer 2019.
Now that Reflex has joined the Dransfields family, the company is increasing its focus on the pub gaming market – and thought the quirky stand would be a great way to let people know.
Customers may not have been able to enjoy a pint at The Dransfields Arms, which was also seen at ICE London, but they could get a close look at some great new Cat C machines, including the GamePro Max cabinet, an extension of the games on offer in the original GamePro cabinet.
Another Cat C product, the reel-based Lucky Gems MegaRoll game, made its debut at EAG. Offering a wide range of stake and prize options, the game is available in both single player and traditional triple cabinet versions.
But the biggest talking point around the pub’s fake fireplace was the debut of Reflex’s new age verification system for Cat C machines. Using a camera in the machine to take a temporary picture of the player, the technology stops anyone who is clearly under 18 from being able to play, and allows over 18s who look younger to use an age verification app to gain access to the machine.
Managing Director of Reflex, Quentin Stott, said: “There’s a big will for the industry to get right behind age verification. Many other manufacturers have been looking to use this kind of technology, but I’m happy to say that most customers seem to think ours is the most sophisticated and easy-to-use system.”
