We always have a great time at the annual CIU Beer and Trades Exhibition, and this year was no exception.
As the Club and Institute Union’s preferred supplier of gaming machines, Dransfields was once again a major exhibitor at the show. Record numbers of exhibitors and delegates attended, and it was great to see so many people keen to visit our stand and chat to us.
Club suppliers of every kind showcased their products and services at the event, held in its 28th year at Blackpool’s Norcalympia Exhibition Centre.
Experts were on hand to give clubs advice on how to increase their revenue and reduce costs. But having fun was also high on the agenda, and that’s where Dransfields came in.
As a leading supplier of gaming machines, quiz machines, lottery machines and more, there was plenty to see on our stand, from demos of the latest machines, to bingo sessions and even a pool competition. If visitors ‘played their cards right’, they had the chance to leave our stand with some amazing prizes – including a 43” smart TV!
And there was an extra treat at the show for football fans thanks to BT Sport, who not only brought along the Premier League Trophy, but also staged a Q&A with a couple of football legends – Wales and Liverpool striker Dean Saunders, and Leicester City and Leeds United defender Simon Grayson.
Union President John Tobin: “We were absolutely delighted by the support shown for the Beer and Trades Exhibition – both in terms of the exhibitors who came along to showcase their services and products to CIU clubs and the huge number of club men and women who came through the doors to enjoy the day.”
